Last weekend one of my best friends came back from Borneo, she had been over there for 4 weeks as an extended holiday. But this wasn’t your usual holiday; she went over there to help the endangered orangutans by building walk ways, cleaning the enclosures and feeding the animals too. This was the type of holiday where you experience the amazing culture of Borneo whilst making a difference to an endangered species. Borneo is located just north of Australia and is the third largest island in the world. After seeing my best friends photos of the jungle, the orangutans and how she helped make their struggling existence a better place it certainly does look like a more exciting holiday than just sitting on the beach in Spain!

When traveling, a degree of care has to be taken. Some places are more dangerous to travel than others, and one must know the depth of their strength and courage than their matureness. Mountain climbing is a very difficult obstacle to overcome, it takes a lot of stamina and good health to climb such steep cliffs and paths. Training before traveling is usually a good idea, although some people prefer to travel to the easier destinations. Of the worst places to travel and explore, would be the Himalayas, which is because of the sheer height of them, as well as the temperature.

Think British Airways – think business class flights only???? Maybe you don’t – but you will from now on, because British Airways have launched their first Business Class only flights from London City Airport to New York.

There have been failings from other companies who previously offered the service however British Airways are keen to pursue the exclusive all-business class idea. The flight from London City Airport allows passangers to travel from the heart of London rather than previous failed services from Stansted or Luton run by companies like Silverjet, Maxjet or Eos.

The problem is the flight takes slightly longer, as it needs a refuel in Shannon Airport (Ireland). The Airbus A318 has been built specifically to satisfy business class only flights and although you touch down at Shannon, it allows for a very quick check in upon arrival in the States as passangers can clear US immigration while in Ireland.  The Airbus A318 has reclining seats that turn into beds – be quick to book though – the aircraft only accommodates 32 passangers!!!

After the success of my last office poll I decided to ask the lads about there favourite holiday destination / location and experience?

Michael – stated his favourite holiday experience was swimming with dolphins in Turkey. He said it was an experience that was once in a life time.

James – said his favourite holiday was with lads in Magalluf when he was 18, unfortunately he didnt’t get lucky over there.

Ryan – thought that the best holiday experience was visiting the pyramids and Sphinx in Egypt.

Jew-lie – loved his trip to a Jerusalem and says his favourite country is Israel.

David – found his honeymoon to be the best holiday of his life.

Liam – enjoys thrill seeking holdays and adventure sports.

Canada; one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. But once you drive (or walk) across the bridge to New York state, ouch!

The area around Niagra Falls is obviously a stunning place and well maintained for the tourists (we even took a photo of a piece of litter once, because it was the only piece seen at all on the Canadian side, and the pictures of The Falls itself never do it justice. I could happily have stayed there forever.

But once you’re over the border and in Buffalo… It’s a totally different world. It feels oppressive, and slightly dangerous. I really was not comfortable about parking the rental car there and leaving it unattended.

I’d go back to Canada in a heartbeat, but I’d be staying firmly on that side of the border next time.

I have been to the Canary Islands a number of times, as I do not particularly like flying for long periods of time. With this in mind the Canary Islands is an ideal holiday destination.
Whether you are looking to lounge on a beach all day, or do some sightseeing or even embark on some much needed retail therapy you can do all these things on any of the islands. My personal favourite is Fuerteventura, due to its gorgeous beaches and laid back atmosphere. The local transport is good, and there are plenty of opportunities to explore the surrounding waters on a variety of boat trips.
